Are you travelling with children?
It is safe to say that travelling with children is not easy. This is also true if not more so for someone who is taking children with them who are not thier own as it will add that extra bit of worry to you which you certainly do not need.
There are however just a few things to remember to do when taking a child away with you and this is very important advice indeed.
It is very important that you take with you a signed and attested consent letter from the parents for you to travel with the child, especially if the name of the child’s passport is different from yours. You are going to be asked for this in countries where overseas adoption and/or child trafficking is common. You should certainly not worry about this as it is there to stop crimes from being committed.
Another key point is to make sure that everyone has the correct visas as well as the all important vaccinations. The USA is very important as they do have tight control system. The vaccinations are for places like Egypt where you are a lot more likely to catch something as your immune system will not be used to the surroundings.
Make sure you have every little piece of informartion on the child given to you. For example any medication for any condition that the child may be suffering from. Although seeming to be very obvious it can often be forgotten about,. Allergy UK actually produces cards in 27 other languages so if something does go wrong you can at least alert the medical crew of what exactly is the problem.
What if something really bad was to happen to the child you are taking care of? Not panicing is key to this. If you do panic you will only end up making things a lot worse, just calm down and take a look at the situation.
Take care when you are taking a child away with you, you are responsible for them.
If you are going away make sure you have your I-pod covered with I-pod insurance or even if you are at home, home insurance as well as emergency home insurance can be very important as well.
